Walter has been drawing or painting since he was in the 3rd grade of school. His parents made
it possible for him to study several summers under a private art instructor. He continued his art studies through high school and at Davidson Community College. He also studied at Forsyth Technical College where he
received a two year degree in architectural drawing. In addition to these studies, he also completed courses through The New York School Of Interior Design and The Famous Artists School. He attributes his desire to
continue his art studies to his high school art instructor, Mr. Herb Stevens at Reynolds. Walter's work is represented in
private and corporate collections across the United States as well as Canada, South Korea, Mexico and England. He works in several mediums such as pastel, watercolor, acrylic, oil and egg tempera. He has won
numerous awards for his work such as: BEST IN SHOW - Southport Art Festival, BEST IN SHOW - Columbia, SC Arts/Crafts Strathmore Paper Co. Award - NC Watercolor Society For Commission Work, call 336-766-1707
